In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will mark a reign of 70 years, becoming the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.
In this special update we've brought together exciting events and resources that will help you celebrate this momentous event! These activities will support children to understand more about this historic occasion, while engaging them in reading for pleasure.

Platinum Jubilee live draw-along
Children are invited to harness the excitement around the Jubilee to get creative at our special Platinum Jubilee draw-along with Steve Antony, author and illustrator of The Queen's Hat, The Queen's Handbag, The Queen's Present and The Queen's Lift-Off. This event will be presented by Holly King-Mand, referred to as 'The Nation's Favourite English Teacher' by The Week Junior.

Royal Reading Challenge
We are encouraging 5 to 14-year-olds to read as much as they can across the weeks surrounding the Jubilee, while discovering lots of fun and interesting facts along the way. Download our fantastic resources to support whole-class engagement and encourage reading for pleasure. This challenge is in partnership with DK publishing, whose new book Queen Elizabeth: A Platinum Jubilee Celebration celebrates the Queen's reign.
