Networks
Safeguarding DSL Networks have been established in Slough, one for the primary and early years and one for the secondary and post 1 group.
The Networks aims to provide a networking forum for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) to obtain information, share good practice and make links with colleagues in other schools and understand the safeguarding arrangements locally. The Networks will also support effective multi agency working, have a shared vision of the safeguarding partnership arrangements within Slough schools.
Since September 2019, participation in the Networks is open on a subscription offer to all education provision in Slough including maintained, community, voluntary aided, free, academy, faith and independent schools. Please see the flyer attached for more details and revised ToR.
All maintained schools receive these networks as part of their support offer from SBC.

Safeguarding Newsletters
Newsletters are published termly with information and links to resources, sources of support, guidance, updates about changes in guidance, legislation, consultations, safeguarding related projects and staff training/CPD.
The Safeguarding newsletter is jointly developed with the Safeguarding Partnership Board (SPB) which includes an education supplement.
During COVID, the newsletters have been more frequent to support DSL’s with the continuous changes and challenges of the new way of working.
