SBC Safeguarding Statement
The purpose of this policy statement is to provide a clear commitment from SBC in relation to the responsibilities it holds to safeguard and protect children and young people in Slough; and provide parents, staff and volunteers with the overarching principles that guide our approach to safeguarding children and young people. This policy statement applies to anyone working on behalf of SBC, including senior managers, elected Members, paid staff, volunteers, sessional workers, agency staff and students.
Safeguarding in Education in Slough is governed by Slough Safeguarding Partnership Board, Education Sub Group and provides an overview of the effectiveness of safeguarding in schools , colleges and other education settings. Further details can be found here.
Safeguarding Subscription Offer
Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, Slough Borough Council are offering the safeguarding subscription as part of the School Effectiveness Partnership Offer, with the added choice of purchasing this subscription standalone. The offer includes discounted CPD, networking meetings, termly seminars and safeguarding newsletters. Please the flyer attached for further details.. Children's Social Care Services
Slough Children’s Services Trust is an independent, not-for-profit company providing social care and support services to children, young people and families. It was established in October 2015 to deliver statutory children’s social care services and has strong links with Slough Borough Council. Details of this service can be found here.
