This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Early Years Team, in partnership with SEBDOS for the attention of all practitioners working in the EYFS, PVIs, childminders, MNS and EYFS in schools. Also wraparound and HAF providers that include EYFS children.
Attachment and behaviour training
Trainers: Melanie Walker (SEBDOS family Link worker) and Guj Chhokar (SEBDOS Senior outreach worker).
During the training we will be focussing on attachment theory and how it links to behaviours you may see in your settings. We will look at the 4 different styles, what may have led to a child having an insecure attachment, how they may present in nursery and how their behaviours and needs can look very similar to ADHD and ASD related behaviours
We will spend time thinking about the underlying needs and different ideas settings can use to support children with an insecure attachment including co-regulation to self-regulation and PACE.
We are looking forward to sharing with you all an understanding and a way of working that can have a long-lasting impact.
