‘In planning and guiding children’s activities, practitioners must reflect on the different ways that children learn and reflect these in their practice’
Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, DfE (2017)
This course looks at the three Characteristics of Effective Learning; ‘playing and exploring, active learning and creating and thinking critically’. research has shown that it is these skills that make a difference to children’s long term outcomes and to their ability to become happy, resourceful and resilient adults.
Through group activities and discussion, practitioners working with children in the EYFS, will consider the role of the adult in implementing the COEL, including how they organise the environment and facilitate children’s play, and supports practitioners to reflect on how children learn, rather than just on what they learn.
This training is being offered at a reduced rate of £21.04 per place.
This training will take place online via Zoom.
The last date to book for this training is Monday 8th March 2021.
