Early Years | Makaton Training | Level 1 & Level 2

 

This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Interim Workforce Development and Sufficiency Coordinator , Clare Thompson, for the attention of Early Years Practitioners level 2 and level 3, Early years assistants and practitioners supporting children on a 1:1 basis. Because this training is being subsidised by the inclusion grant, it is aimed at practitioners who work directly with 3&4 year old children.

The Makaton Language Programme uses a multimodal approach to teach language and literacy skills, through a combination of speech, signs and graphic symbols used concurrently, or, only with speech with signs, or, with speech with graphic symbols as appropriate for the student’s needs. It consists of a Core Vocabulary of roughly 450 concepts that are taught in a specific order (there are 8 different stages).

The full cost for this training is £225.00 per place, but as this training is being highly subsidised by the inclusion grant your contribution will cost £32.00 per place.

Please note if you do not attend a session you will be invoiced for the full cost per place. (£225.00)

This training will take place online via zoom, details of how to join will be sent to you once you have registered. Training manual will also be sent to you prior to the start date.
