This meeting has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Senior Childcare Development Officer Aneesa Younus, for the attention of all Early Years Settings.
Slough Borough Council secured free support from the Local Government Association to review the current early years and childcare services. The LGA have a large amount of experience in support councils nationally to review and improve services.
The review considered the three key areas of the Councils legal requirements under the Childcare Act 2006 14 and 18);
- The pathway of services from pre-birth to five, looking at how integrated the services are in supporting improved outcomes for children and a narrowing of the attainment gap.
- The sufficiency of Early Education and Childcare provision for children aged 0-14 (16 for children with disabilities).
- The provision of information for families and early years and childcare providers locally.
The review process has now concluded, and the report includes recommendations which the LGA would like to share with the sector in order to consider the next step of coproducing an Early Years Strategy.
This meeting will take place Online via MS Teams. We look forward to seeing you.
