Slough Early Years team have been lucky to secure this amazing opportunity, FREE for those who attend. . This training is a workshop for practitioners interested in supporting young children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families delivered by Dr Cathy Harmer.

We know the importance of the home learning environment in supporting children’s literacy development and communication skills. Making it Real is an opportunity for the sector to share strategies to work with the parents to support their child’s development at home

In this session you will look at:

• The importance of the home learning environment

• The impact of the pandemic

• How the REAL programme works for all children

• Ways in which a special treasure chest can be created to support learning and development
