This training is for Year 1 teachers and phonic administrators who will be administering the PSC in June to pupils in Year 1.
The aim is to provide an overview of the purpose of the Year 1 Phonics Screen Check. Consider what shcools need to do to prepare for the check. Provide information on access arrangements for the check. Outline how the check should be adminstered and reported and provide guidance about statutory monioring arrangements for the phonics check.
The session will also provide information on responsibilities that schools have in terms of administering the check, security of the check materials and marking. In addition we will look at the Local Authorities responsibilities for monitoring the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check.
