Ancestry Classroom for State Secondary Schools

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council on behalf of Principal Libraries Outreach Officer (Children and young people), Alison Beer for the attention of all Secondary schools.

Free access to Ancestry Classroom for state secondary schools

The Royal Berkshire Archives has teamed up with Ancestry to offer state secondary schools free access to Ancestry Classroom.

Ancestry Classroom provides access to Ancestry’s online collections for use in teaching. These include UK census returns and immigration records.

The offer is part of Ancestry’s work to publish the Archives’ collection of Church of England registers of baptisms, marriages and burials in Berkshire that date from 1538.

The Archives is a joint service of the six Berkshire councils, which includes Slough Borough Council.

To activate your school’s free access, please contact Kristian Lafferty at Ancestry – klafferty@ancestry.com.
