Communities Against Violence, knife crime awareness football event and BBC Radio Berkshire
Following on from the recent ‘Football Against Violence’ event at Arbour Park earlier this month, in aid of raising awareness of knife crime, we’d like to share a link to an interview with Rhiannon Dineen, our Youth Justice Case Practitioner for our YJS, and founder of Communities Against Violence (CAV) on BBC Radio Berkshire.
CAV is a not for profit company, that continues to grow and evolve, to meet the changing needs of our youth and local communities. They’re extremely passionate about making a safer environment for the youth and increasing awareness on exploitation, knife crime and violence.
Rhiannon sits in with Abbey Ellis, acting Police Sergeant at Slough police station talking about the event, strengthening the community through sport, knife crime, and the 6-0 win to the Slough Community Team.
Do take a listen via Kirsten O'Brien - Alex Grundon sits in (11/04/2025) - BBC Sounds from, 11.55 minutes in.
It is a great interview and will be available to listen back on BBC Radio Sounds for another 25 days.
