Domestic abuse

Refuge has published a news story on domestic abuse experienced by young women and girls aged 16 – 25. Data from its support service found that in 2024-2025 there were increases in domestic abuse, particularly involving psychological abuse, coercive control and physical violence, amongst this cohort. Refuge calls for improved domestic abuse education in schools.
