Domestic abuse
The UK government has responded to recommendations set out in the Domestic Abuse Commissioner’s recent report on babies, children and young people’s experiences of domestic abuse. The proposed changes would apply to England and reserved matters in Wales. The response outlines: commitments to recognising the unique perspective and voice of child victims; the importance of meaningful and robust needs assessments with victims; and work taking place to improve awareness of the Victims’ Code.
