For Reception:
OxEd Whole Class and NELI: A 20-week programme that aims to improve the language skills of reception pupils. The trial is testing the lessons for all pupils both on their own and alongside NELI (Nuffield Early Language Intervention) - a targeted small-group intervention.
Maths Through Picture Books: A 10-week intervention that aims to support reception aged pupils to develop their mathematical talk and confidence. Teaching assistants receive training, mentoring and resources to deliver a small‑group intervention, using picture books to support conversations about number and operations.
