This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Education Safeguarding Officer, Jatinder Matharu, for the attention of Heads, pastoral leads and DSL's of Primary and Secondary Schools.
In line with CSE awareness day on the 18th March 2019, Slough are holding 8 information sessions across 4 different locations in April for Parents in Slough.
This is to increase their knowledge of the indicators of CSE, where they can gain advice and support, how to keep their child safe and also how to support their learning in school.
On the day they will be able to hear from Nadine Barrett, the CSE & Trafficking Co-ordinator from The Engage service who work directly with young people who are at risk or have been affected by child sexual exploitation and from Lime who are rolling out The Choices Programme in Slough Schools.
Benefits for parents by attending a free information session:
- You will be able to find out more about how to keep your child safe from exploitation
- You will hear what to do next, when you are concerned.
- You’ll receive updates on how the Choices Programme is being rolled out across schools, so you can better support your child’s learning.
