The Government is committed to carrying out an Independent Review of Prevent. William Shawcross was appointed as the Reviewer on 26 January 2021, he will gather and analyse a range of information to underpin robust, evidence-based findings and recommendations on the government’s strategy for supporting people vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism.
The Review will critically examine and report on the government strategy for supporting people vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism as set out in CONTEST, June 2018.
