This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Business Support Team Manager, Paula Doneghan, for the attention of all Schools in Slough.
Last year 126,000 inspiring children and young people participated in the first-ever Great Big School Clean. An army of 370,000 volunteers helped clean up the country and together they collected 630,000 bags of litter, including tonnes of single-use plastic, from streets, parks and benches, litter that could otherwise have ended up in the ocean.
I am hoping to get majority of Slough Schools signed up to the Keep Britain Tidy campaign which needs your help. They are aiming to inspire around half a million of people to join forces to collect and safely dispose of litter from our streets, parks, benches and encourage recycling.
- Councillor Shabnum Sadiq
Schools can hold a clean up any time between 22nd March 2019 - 23rd April 2019. You can find more information in the attached document below or by clicking here.
