LEGO Build to Give campaign - invitation to schools

The LEGO Group are excited to announce the launch of their annual Build to Give campaign, running from 11th November to 31st December.

Since 2017, children have taken part by building a LEGO® heart, with LEGO donating a gift for a child in need for every heart built.

Thanks to their incredible support, over two million LEGO sets have been donated.

This holiday season, they are inviting schools in Slough to join them at the Curve in spreading joy by building a heart to give the gift of play to children who need it most.

The campaign event will involve building a heart and other Christmas themed activities for the children to enjoy and will take place on 27th November in the Venue at The Curve.

The sessions will be offered on a first come, first served basis and will be delivered by the LEGO team. It will last around 45 minutes, but can be combined with a library visit. Timings can be flexible to suit the school day. Up to 60 children can be accommodated at each session. Children must be aged 5+ to participate.

Schools will have to arrange their own transport to The Curve. Please note – children will not get to keep the LEGO.

If 27th November date is not convenient, schools can arrange a Build to Give session delivered by the library team on a different date.

Please contact Alison Beer, Principal Libraries Outreach Officer (Children and Young People) alison.beer@slough.gov.uk to book a session, or for further information.
