This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Public Health Team and The Brighter Futures Together Team for the attention of all schools.
In the spirit of Pride season and our ongoing commitment to inclusion, Brighter Futures Together is hosting two LGBTQ+ inclusion sessions this summer. These will be delivered by Dr Jamie Willo — NHS Inclusion Lead and experienced Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist with over 20 years in the NHS — and are designed to support professionals working with young people.
Jamie brings lived experience as a trans non-binary person and a powerful, engaging training style. You’ll also meet our team, who run LGBTQ+ youth projects in Aylesbury and Slough, supporting young people who are often overlooked.
We’re especially keen to connect with staff in schools and colleges, where inclusion training isn’t always mandatory but is more important than ever — though professionals from other sectors are very welcome too.
