This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Internal Communications Officer, Anna Stacey, on behalf of Highways England. This is for the attention of all Schools in Slough.
Highways England has an exciting new programme for schools to get involved in helping children and young people learn more about civil engineering, construction, road safety, design, and more subjects that fit into the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum.
We have a team of STEM ambassadors, recent graduates and apprentices who can help students explore educational and career opportunities. This month (February 2019) our programme will engage in students getting involved in the M4 Route between Junction 3 and 12. The team will be getting in touch with schools and colleges to offer information about the project for lesson planning and/or arranging visits to schools.
If you would like to find our more about this programme or arrange a visit please contact us by emailing M4J3to12smartmotorways@highwaysengland.co.uk.
You can find out more about the plans by visiting our website at: www.highwaysengland.co.uk/m4j3to12. Live traffic information is available at the South East regional twitter feed @highwaysSEAST.
