This article is brought to you by Slough Borough Council on behalf of Get Berkshire Active, for the attention of all Early Years Settings.

GBA is excited the announce a new ‘This Mum Moves’ Training course on Thursday 12th March (9am-1.30pm) – a flyer is attached.

We have 24 FREE places to offer to those who are working or delivering in Berkshire with pre or post-natal mothers and who have regular contact with women during their childbearing years.

We are keen to encourage applications from midwives, pelvic physiotherapists, health visitors, any other healthcare professionals working in maternity, GPs, exercise instructors and social prescribers as well as those working in early years settings or charities where they have significant contact with pre or post-natal women.

The half-day online training event will equip people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to discuss physical activity during pregnancy and after childbirth. Feedback from the previous courses run over the past two years has been excellent. The training is delivered by The Institute of Health Visitors and The Active Pregnancy Foundation live via Zoom and will provide learners with access to a digital toolkit to support conversations and further learning. You will need to undertake one hour of online preparatory work online prior to the course.

TO APPLY for a FREE funded place please complete this EXPRESSION OF INTEREST form and we will email applicants back as soon as possible to let them know if they have been successful in obtaining a place.  Once the course is full, we will run a waiting list.

The training has been accredited by the CPD Standards Office and equates to 3 CPD points – it would normally cost £180 per person.
