Did you know that up to 20% of early years children will at some point experience a condition known as glue ear?
Characterised by fluid gathering in the middle ear, this condition can cause temporary deafness, which could lead to delays in development in children under five. In fact, it is one of the leading causes of speech and language delay, and because it is a painless condition, it can be hard to identify.
The Glue Ear Awareness course was developed by My Little Ears to show you the benefits of early identification and routine screening for glue ear and how you can ensure children get support when it matters most. Suitable for early years educators and parents alike, this free, self-led course will help you feel more confident helping children and families at your setting.
