This information is brought to you by Slough Borough Council, on behalf of National Numeracy, for the attention of all Schools.
The Schools and Families Team would welcome the opportunity to attend a forthcoming Maths Lead, Headteacher or School Improvement meeting during the Autumn 26 or Spring 27 term, to briefly introduce our FREE fully funded maths confidence programme to primary school leaders in your area.
**We would only require a short slot – anything from 5/10 mins to half an hour - and are happy to present either face-to-face or online.**
What we are about:
Our programme is not a scheme of work and is not focused on the teaching of maths. Instead, it supports schools to build positive attitudes towards maths, helping to increase maths and number confidence among children, staff and parents.
Through our work with schools across the nation, we have seen encouraging impacts on parental engagement with maths, staff confidence, and children's willingness to engage positively with numbers.
- 91% of parents/carers felt more able to support their child with maths learning.
- 90% of pupils reported feeling more confident having used the Family Maths Toolkit activities.
- 71% of schools feel that maths attainment has improved after participating in the programme.
We would be delighted to share more about the programme, the impact seen so far, and how schools in your area can benefit from this FREE fully-funded opportunity.
