If you are a mainstream school leader or manage an inclusion base, the Department for Education has opened registration for its new National Peer Networks.
Following the launch of the autism networks last autumn, this new initiative focuses on speech, language, and communication development. Coordinated by the DfE as part of the RISE universal service offer, these expert-led networks bring schools together for virtual, half-termly meetings to share real-world challenges and drive high-quality provision across the country.
The networks are open to:
Schools with Local Authority-commissioned bases (SEN units or resourced provisions).
Schools running their own school-commissioned support bases.
Mainstream schools interested in or currently setting up a base who want to learn from experienced peers.
