On Thursday 1 October celebrate National Poetry Day with inspiring new resources. This year's theme is wonder, and we're sharing resources and video clips that encourage learners to observe, reflect, and develop their own unique voices as poets. Our tailored resources for early years and ages 5 to 16 will help you introduce the wonder and joy of poetry in your classroom.
Our 2026 research findings show that the percentage of children and young people reading poetry has reached its highest level since 2010, while engagement in poetry writing reached its second highest level.
