Nicotine Awareness School Drama- based Workshop for Secondary Schools

Slough Borough Council’s Public Health Team has commissioned Performance in Education to deliver an engaging one hour, drama-based workshop on nicotine awareness for KS3 students. This session is designed to deepen students’ understanding of the consequences, perceptions, and common myths surrounding smoking, vaping, and nicotine. With a strong focus on prevention, the presentation explores why young people may begin smoking, how to navigate influences such as peer pressure and risk-taking, and how short-term choices can impact long-term health. Students will also be signposted to local support services.

The tour will run from Monday 9th March to Friday 27th March, offering one hour morning and afternoon sessions to fit your timetable (excluding 11am–1pm). Early bookings are encouraged to secure preferred dates.

The presentation is suitable for the whole year groups of up to 250 students. For cohorts exceeding this number, arrangements can be made to accommodate additional students. One hour of hall access is required by the team prior to the session for set‑up, and all necessary equipment will be provided to ensure a smooth and efficient visit.
