NPQ Registration Now Open (Autumn 2022)

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council’s Interim Senior Advisory Teacher, Sharon Rose, for the attention of Early Years staff in schools, private, voluntary and independent settings and childminder settings.

Dear Colleague,

We were delighted to confirm that the registration window for fully funded Specialist and Leadership National Professional Qualifications (NPQ) for Autumn 2022 is now open.

TSH Berkshire continue to offer NPQs delivered in partnership with UCL and have seen great success with more than 225 participants currently completing programmes. After great anticipation, we can confirm that we will be offering the NPQ Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL) from September 2022.

The NPQ programmes have been carefully designed by UCL and partner schools and are informed by research and practice to draw upon professional learning expertise and knowledge of school leadership.

The programme is open to leaders qualified to at least Level 3 with full and relevant qualification who are, or aspiring to be managers of Private, Voluntary and Independent nurseries, headteachers of school-based or maintained nurseries, or childminders with leadership responsibilities.  The programme is fully funded for all these groups.

To apply, participants need to register with the DfE here now.

They should choose UCL as their provider and they will then be contacted with a follow up application form.

“I completed NPQSL and began to focus on impact and improving standards for the whole school. This was a fantastic course with excellent content. Being able to think strategically and meet like-minded leaders was a fantastic opportunity. The NPQ courses linked theory and practice perfectly. It gave me the confidence to lead a team of professionals and gave me the skills to reflect...I am now Deputy Headteacher and leading the school for two days a week…I will be continuing my NPQ journey and will be starting NPQH this year.”

Simon P, Deputy Head

I am attaching a flyer with more details.  You (or interested participants) can also find more information on UCL’s website.

We are also offering an online workshop to find out more about the structure, content, delivery and benefits of the programmes- for participants, schools and ultimately students.
