October Awareness Month - School Resources

This information is brough to you by Slough Borough Council's Early Years team, on behalf of Down Syndrome UK, for the attention of all Early Years settings and Schools.

October is Down syndrome awareness month. It’s a month celebrating individuality, focusing on what every person with Down syndrome deserves to be, what they aspire to and what they and their families are proud of.

Down Syndrome  UK would love your school or setting to get involved too by using our resources for educators. The collection is designed to help children and young people learn about inclusion, diversity and kindness. Whether it’s a whole school assembly, PSHE activities, story time or learning Makaton signs, there’s lots you can do to promote inclusion and diversity in your setting.
