This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council on behalf of Community Dental Services for the attention of all schools.
With Oral Health being an important part of the curriculum and early years framework, we at Community Dental Services CIC would like to remind you of our incredible Oral Health resources and training available to you free of charge. You can use our evidence-based resources to support you to share these key messages with the children and families you work with.
Resources
Firstly, we know that supporting parents in the return to school can mean giving fresh new ideas for lunchboxes and starting off with a positive outlook on what it means to eat a balanced diet. The following video is a fantastic resource in promoting tooth friendly lunches.

Training
Completing our Healthy Smiles Accreditation can be an incredible development for your setting, by encouraging the families in your care to take positive steps towards their oral and general health. This involves attending a free 90-minute training session and then we ask you to send across evidence that meets the healthy smiles standards. Please see the documentation attached.
Please click here to sign up for one of our upcoming Healthy Smiles sessions. If it is not suitable, please do click the bespoke option and we will be in touch to get this organised.
Alternatively, you can complete our 0-19 oral health training allowing individual staff members to be comprehensively trained to support the families in your setting.
