Play Day 2019

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Active Slough Team, Frank Sugrue, for the attention of Primary and Secondary Schools.

Playday is the national day for play in the UK, traditionally held on the first Wednesday in August.  As well as a celebration of children's right to play, Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children's lives.

Playday is coordinated by Play England, Play Wales, Play Scotland and PlayBoard Northern Ireland.  On Playday, thousands of children and young people get out to play at hundreds of locally organised celebrations - from small-scale neighbourhood get-togethers to large-scale public events.

To find out more and to join in the fun please visit www.playday.org.uk.

Playday is open to children of all ages with a host of fun activities and much more.  There are plenty of ways to get to Play Day.  Why not hop on the bus, walk or bring your bike.  Parking ONLY available at Slough town centre pay and display car parks (limited spaces).  Disabled users can park at Salt Hill Park.
