This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Early Years and Prevention Service Lead, Michael Jarrett, for the attention of all colleagues and partners across the Early Years sector.

Some of you may already be aware that Sharon Lindsay, the Quality, Care and Learning Manager for the Early Years and Prevention Service is retiring at the end of this term. Sharon’s actual last day of service will be Tuesday 16th July 2019.

Sharon has been a key member of the Early Years service and has been instrumental in the development of high quality early years provision and training across Slough for many years.

Sharon has asked for a low key send off and we have respected her wishes by not holding a fan fair goodbye instead we have organised a small leaving do to be held at Vicarage Way Children’s Centre at 12.30pm for 1pm on Friday 12th July 2019.

If you would like a message to be added to Sharon’s leaving card/s, please email any message to Menhaz Hussain: menhaz.hussain@slough.gov.uk and we will collate these messages as appropriate.

I am sure you will all join me in wishing Sharon the very best of luck in her next chapter as she leaves a busy role for the chance to take up a range of personal interests no doubt including a range of craft activities and spending more time with her twin daughters.

We are interviewing for Sharon’s role this week and are hopeful to appoint to this key management role within the Early Years and Prevention Service.

Kind regards,

Michael Jarrett
