Raising Awareness on Substance Misuse

An introduction to raising awareness on substance misuse, provided by Slough Borough Council's specialist team.
This session will provide an overview of illicit and legal substances and their effect on the individual and society. Find out about drug misuse issues, current trends of drug and alcohol use and the most commonly used drugs and their physical and psychological effects.
The session will also signpost you to support available from Turning Point and other agencies in the Slough area.

An over-view of the current, risks from the perspective of the wider community.
The session will cover the 6 top tips to:
- Protect yourselves and stay secure online
- Reporting of suspicious emails, text messages and websites
- Other examples of common digital enabled fraud
- Privacy settings / over sharing of personal information on social media
- How and where to report Fraud and Cyber Crime
