Nominations open for Slough Youth Awards 2025
The Slough Youth Awards for 2025 is coming up (Friday 28 November) and nominations are now open.
Do you know an amazing young person or youth group in Slough who deserves recognition? Maybe they’ve shown resilience through challenges, made a difference in their community, or expressed their talents through creativity or sport. Now’s the time to celebrate them!
The Slough Youth Awards started 10 years ago by our very first Slough Youth Parliament. It was created to highlight the great things our youth do locally and ensure a positive spotlight was put on those who overcome and contribute.
Now supported by the youth voice team and a part of SYP’s current manifesto, we help recognise and celebrate the amazing achievements of Slough’s young people.
We’re inviting you to nominate young people aged 11–18 (up to 25 with SEND) for one or more of the following award categories. They will all be invited to the awards, where winners and runners up will be announced. It will be a high energy night with performances, food, and lots more!
- Creative Expression Award – for young people or groups passionate about creative arts such as writing, poetry, music, filmmaking, visual arts or performance.
- Being Active Ambassador – for those championing active lifestyles, excelling in sport or inspiring others to get moving.
- Resilience Award – for young people or groups who have shown courage, perseverance and strength in overcoming challenges.
- Going Green Champion – for those leading on environmental action, eco-projects or community sustainability.
- Being Ambitious Award – for young people achieving outstanding personal success in education, work or enterprise.
The deadline to nominate is Friday 7 November, 6-9pm (ceremony starting at 7pm) at Lynch Hill Academy. Please submit your nominations via the form and find more information on the awards here.
Please share with partners who support our young people and may not receive this email.
