The Secretary of state for science, innovation and technology met with a group of young people at the headquarters of the NSPCC to discuss social media and online safety. The young people highlighted concerns around platforms’ addictiveness and difficulties reporting content that made them uncomfortable or distressed. They also shared how a ban on young people’s access to social media might impact their social connections.
