Finding time for professional development can be challenging when you're balancing staffing pressures, budgets and ratio requirements. That's why NDNA's Maths Champions programme is designed to fit around the realities of a busy early years setting.
Fully funded for eligible providers in England, the online programme gives your nominated Maths Champion and Deputy Maths Champion 12 months to complete nine flexible steps at a pace that suits your nursery.
Champions spend an average of 38 hours across the year completing the programme. Dedicated learning time is mainly required at the start for two mandatory online courses (approximately 2–2.5 hours each). The remainder of the programme is embedded within everyday practice, enabling Champions to build their own knowledge and confidence, while supporting the development of colleagues' skills and expertise, all while working in rooms and remaining within ratio.
Independent EEF research found participating children made the equivalent of three additional months progress in maths and language development.
Register your interest today and discover how Maths Champions can strengthen your team's confidence while fitting around the day-to-day running of your nursery.
