Stress can affect us all in different ways so it is important to recognise the signs that you or someone around you may be struggling. Some of the signs of stress can include:
- Feeling worried, anxious or hopeless
- Finding it hard to make decisions
- Poor judgement and inability to concentrate
- Headaches
- Demotivation
- Sleeping too little or too much
This Stress Awareness Month, we’re encouraged to ‘lead with love’, aiming to empower us to approach ourselves and others with kindness, compassion, and acceptance, no matter the challenges we face.
There are various ways we can de-stress, including having:
- Mindful moments: taking a few minutes each day to focus and reset your mind.
- Moving: Physical activity, even a short walk, can reduce stress hormones and boost your mood.
- Setting boundaries: Practice saying no when you need to, and prioritise your wellbeing.
