Thames Valley Violence Prevention Partnership | Serious Youth Violence

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Early Years Advisory Teacher, Karen Loft, for the attention of all schools.

Please read the report below - this joint report by OFSTED/CQC/HMICFRS draws findings from six Joint Targeted Area Inspections (none in our area).

The findings highlight the extent and impact of serious youth violence, with children as young as 11 routinely carrying knives for protection.  It highlights the failings by partners to share information and data on those most at risk and the particular need to better support vulnerable young people with special educational needs.
