Training: Domestic Abuse in the Deaf Community

We currently have funding available to deliver free training and workshops for mainstream providers across England.

One of our key sessions, Domestic Abuse in the Deaf Community, offers an in-depth look at the barriers Deaf individuals face when seeking support, and why many do not access services. Alongside this, we can also provide Deaf Awareness training to help ensure your service is accessible and inclusive.

This workshop covers:

  • The experiences and concerns Deaf individuals may have when engaging with professionals
  • How to effectively support Deaf people experiencing domestic abuse
  • Key information about the Deaf community, including available resources and support
  • An overview of our service and how we can work with and support your organisation
