It’s Youth Work Week
Youth Work Week is a chance for everyone working in youth work, and the young people themselves, to shout about the difference youth work makes. Youth Work Week is an annual celebration of all thing's youth work.
The week long campaign takes place at the beginning of every November.
This year it will take place from Monday 4th – Sunday 10th November.
Each year the campaign has an overarching theme to help the sector to focus their engagement. The theme for 2024 is:
A right to youth work for all – delivering positive futures for young people.
The theme aims to highlight the many ways that youth work spaces are made accessible to all, and which enable young people to explore and celebrate their own identity and values. We know this is hugely important to young people, as the National Youth Agency's youth survey shows that young people feel more connected to their community and have a sense of belonging through youth work. The team will be capturing the voices of young people and families this week to see how Youth Work in Slough has impacted them.
