St Anthony's Catholic Primary School

Our school became a founder member of the St Peter Catholic Academy Trust on 1 December 2016, and is currently working in partnership with St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery and St Joseph’s Catholic High School. One of the many strengths of working together is collaborative chaplaincy across the trust, as we constantly aspire towards our shared vision: towards God in service.

Information about the members of our academy committee (traditionally called the governing body) can be found in our website.  At St. Anthony’s we believe that every child is a unique being, created in the image of God. We work as a community of love to ensure that every child achieves the very best that they can be. We promote a love of God and a love of one another and this is demonstrated in the way we live out our mission of learning, growing and living with Jesus. This is an inspirational school. We offer a rich and diverse curriculum that is suited to the needs of the children.

We promote values such as tolerance, fairness, respect for other faiths and for people with no faith, and the rules of law and democracy. Our pupils are actively involved in promoting the UNICEF Rights Respecting agenda in their daily school life and through community-based tasks and activities. Our curriculum empowers the creative, develops the spiritual, promotes a healthy lifestyle, inspires a love of learning and cultivates the skills of life in modern Britain, and for careers which may not even exist as yet. We endeavour to work in partnership with the Diocese, Trust, St. Anthony’s Church, other schools, specialist teachers, parents and carers to offer the widest of opportunities to enhance the lives of all within our school.

We are part of a global society and ensure that our children are exposed to learning across the world by linking with schools in Sri Lanka and China, and enhanced by maintaining a blog. We are a happy, thriving school where we value respect and commitment to service and where children and their needs are our prime concern.
