Safeguarding Projects

We are working on a range of projects to raise the profile of safeguarding with children and young people through creative ways including drama, arts and digital platforms in PSHE. These include:

Click Project: | Working with primary schools to raise the profile of cyberbullying using drama.  For further details please contact Jatinder Matharu on 01753 875 068 or email jatinder.matharu@slough.gov.uk.

International Day of the Girl Celebration | is held to highlight the lack of opportunities for all 1.1 billion girls on the planet and promote positive messages to empower girls globally.

The Choices Programme | The Choices Programme is a modular scheme of work delivered across key stages two and three with sessions that build week-by-week. The sessions are designed to provoke challenging conversations and bolster personal resilience.

Operation Encompass | Thames Valley Police is committed to working with our partners to reduce domestic abuse harm and have developed a process called Operation Encompass in order to notify schools that a pupil has witnessed Domestic Abuse and may need additional welfare support at school.

County Lines, Knife Crime and CSE Workshops for Secondary Schools | The Office of Police Crime Commissioner and the Safer Slough Partnership will offer a range of initiatives across phases from awareness to targeted detached work in schools. The Safer Slough Partnership (SSP) has worked to secure funding to deliver a four tiered programme, aiming to prevent young people being exploited into violence and offending through gangs and County Lines drug dealing.

Knife Crime |  There are a range of materials and resources available for schools to access to raise the profile of knife crime.
