This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Education Safeguarding Officer, Jatinder Matharu, for the attention of identified leads from Secondary Schools in Slough who have a role or interest in supporting young people's wellbeing in their setting. We do not expect these individuals to act as mental health professionals.
This training is FREE and is by invite only.
The training is aimed at adults who are supporting young people aged 8-18. The training helps schools to develop skills and confidence to support young people and guide them towards the support they need.
By the end of the course the delegate will have:
An understanding of common mental health issues and how they can affect young people
Ability to spot signs of mental ill health in young people and guide them to a place of support
Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
Skills to support positive wellbeing
Please note refreshments and lunch is included.
