This governor network meeting will include a presentation outlining the main points from the Department for Education statutory guidance on Relationships & Health Education (primary) and Relationships, Sex & Health Education (secondary). It will focus on the statutory content, policy requirements, engagement with parents and clarify the position regarding parents’ right to withdraw from sex education.
The presentation will also include information about free support available to all schools in Slough as they work towards implementing the statutory guidance from September 2020.
