The Active Walk at Playday - 1st August

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Public Health Programme Officer, Tim Howells, for the attention of Primary School Headteachers.

Active Movement, the pioneering programme designed to increase activity and reduce obesity, will soon be seen in the majority of primary schools in Slough.

As part of the launch, a special Active Movement walk has been created at this year's Playday at Salt Hill Park on August 1st.

The walk will take you through Salt Hill and Baylis park with a competition to win Decathlon walking trainers for 4 family members.

The walk is open throughout the event from 12 till 3pm and will be attended by many of Slough's Active Movement schools.

Best of all, it's your chance to see how being active is just a walk in the park! I look forward to seeing you on the 1st at Play Day!
