This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Interim Workforce Development and Sufficiency Coordinator, Clare Thompson, for the attention of, Early Years providers including Schools who offer nursery provision and Childminders.

Parents are likely to need additional reassurance that childcare settings remain open, particularly in light of the national restrictions.

As you have a detailed knowledge of your own local area and childcare market, you may already have developed your own strategies for doing this. However, to help, you also have access to a range of communications tools to help promote government childcare entitlements for children aged 2 – 4 as well as Tax-Free Childcare.

We have produced a pack to help you communicate with working parents about the available offers and support that has been put in place. In this pack, you’ll find a range of materials including:

  • Draft emails to share with parents or providers
  • An online flyer to share via email or social media channels with parents, promoting available support in response to the pandemic.
  • Social media suggestions; which are available to download for you to share (below) and guidance on using the childcare choices logo. a. Social media asset 1
