All early years training and meetings will be advertised on TheLink website via the calendar. All details including the course description, venue, date and times will be highlighted here. Each session will have a maximum number which it will be able to accommodate and all places will be allocated upon the booking being made ‘on a first come first served basis’. Once you have picked your chosen course TheLink will direct you to ‘’Eventbrite’’ where you will be able to proceed with your booking.
Please note: all bookings will close 5 working days prior to the course date and no further bookings will be enabled after the cut off date.
Notification of new courses and reminders
You can receive weekly notifications of any new course/meeting if you have registered on TheLink website. To register visit the home page and click the ‘register’ tab in the top right hand corner. Once you have booked a course you will receive a confirmation email from ‘’Eventbrite’’ and a reminder email the day before your course.
Occasionally these emails may go into your ‘junk mail’ so please keep check all mail boxes. Upon booking, if you supply a mobile telephone number you will also receive a text message 24 hours before the course as a reminder.
Please note that the invites for private training course and meetings will come as an email from “Eventbrite”. Before requesting an invite please review the target audience and check your emails to ensure you haven’t already received an invite.
Each training course / meeting will have a target audience in the description of the session on TheLink and again on the ‘’Eventbrite’’ page. Please book the most relevant person from your organisation onto each session. Some sessions will also restrict the number of attendees from each organisation due to the limitations of the venue/room used. This is in place to ensure that everyone is able to send a representative from across the sector.

Each participant attending a training course will be sent an email with a link to an evaluation survey. They will then have 28 days to complete the feedback online and they will receive their certificate once this has been done. If they do not completed the survey within 28 days their certificate will no longer be available.
Please note that all of our training courses have a waiting list, please use this function as this helps us to measure demand and determine if an additional course is required, also if a booking becomes available you will be notified via email. Once you receive the email notification that a space has become available you will have 24 hours to book before the vacant space goes to the next person on the waiting list.
- Any cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the event,
- Any bookings including free courses and network meetings, cancelled within these 7 days will be subject to a £15.00 cancellation fee, and
- Non attendance will also be subject to a £15.00 charge.
Please ensure you arrive on time for training, if you are more than 10 minutes late unfortunately you will not be able to join the training.
