This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Head of Music Service, Laura Lancaster, for the attention of all headteachers in Slough.
It is our pleasure to invite your pupils to take part in the Slough Music Education Hub’s cross cultural sharing, Diwali celebrations on Thursday 8th November 2018 at The Curve in central Slough.
This celebration is offered as a collaboration between music hub partners, Slough Music Service and The Curve.
We invite you to bring a group of pupils who have something to share with the community to celebrate Diwali. Perhaps your pupils can sing a selection of songs, bring some food, a visual art display or activity, or performance art forms such as dance or spoken word appropriate for the occasion?
You are welcome to be creative with your offering! We hope to get a variety of different activities and performances to entertain our friends, family, the public and one another.
We are proud to offer this event at no charge to schools.
Date: Thursday 8th November 2018
Times: 1pm – 3pm
Venue: The Curve, William Street, SL1 1XY
We will also be offering a similar celebration for Eid on Thursday 6th June 2019.
