Worried about the cost of living crisis and the impact this may have on the prevalence of abuse and neglect?
The cost of living crisis is expected to increase safeguarding risks to vulnerable children and adults.
The problem will get worse this winter, so the Safeguarding Partnerships across East Berkshire are working together to try and address some of the issues.
They are hosting this online Safeguarding Forum to look at how we can help to prevent detrimental impact and identify what support is available to help those that need it.
Date: Tuesday 22 November 2022 13:00 - 16:00
The forum will be supported by colleagues from Bracknell Forest, RBWM and Slough as well as colleagues in health, social care and the voluntary sector.
There will be presentations on:
- Exploitation
- Self-neglect
- Self-Harm
- Financial scams
These will relate specifically to the cost of living issues and what we can do to lessen the impact.
There will also be a session on learning from case reviews.
