School Health and Safety Courses

Following on from the success of previous courses, we have organised the following H&S Courses for schools.

Accident Investigation Course

This course is aimed at Business Managers, Bursars and Administration staff in the School who are required to process and monitor accident and incident forms.

Course Content 

The relationship between major accidents, incidents and near misses, the direct and indirect causes of accidents, documentation, R.I.D.D.O.R. reporting and the process of investigating an accident/incident.

This session incorporates the incident reporting requirements, H.S.E. website and R.I.D.D.O.R. reporting requirements. It will explain how to undertake an Accident Investigation.

Risk Assessment + Safety Inspection

This course is aimed at Managers, Teachers and Staff responsible for completing risk assessments in the school.

Course Content

Legislation and interpretation of relevant guidance including definitions and understanding of the Risk Assessment process using suitable Control Measures. By the end of the course, delegates will be able to write and review Risk Assessments.

This course is aimed at Staff who are required to complete Risk Assessments on behalf of the School.

Building Manager - Compliance Training

This course is aimed at Building Managers, Facilities Managers and Site controllers that are responsible for their buildings/schools.

Course Content

Legislation, definitions, requirements of Building managers in relation to fire, legionella, asbestos, gas, electricity and general H&S factors to consider when managing a building.

This course explains your responsibilities as a Building Manager (Facilities and or Service Manager) and covers the responsibilities for workplace health and safety, fire, legionella, asbestos, gas and electricity.
