School Postal Survey

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Building Management Team, for the attention of all schools. 

We are currently reviewing our post room services to embrace new ways of working. We understand that many services have already or are moving towards digital platforms; this survey will help us to understand your current and future requirements.

Currently we run two courier routes, one is twice a week and one is three times a week. In total we cover 42 sites daily and a member of the post room drives on average 40 miles in a day (200 miles for the week) and spends 37 hours dropping off and collecting post every week.

In the past year, the volume of post we collect has significantly reduced, so we are considering reducing the number of postal drop offs/collections each week in order to improve efficiency and put more of our staff time into delivering other essential services. 

We are asking for your help to review/streamline the service provided by taking a few minutes to complete a short survey which will inform how we develop a service for the future. The survey is open to all teams and staff by clicking here.
